Poppy’s Pizza

Poppy's Pizza sign

I had my first experience with the newest Pizza place in town on Saturday night. We picked up a very tasty Sicilian pie (half pepperoni, half cheese) from Poppy’s Pizzeria.

Poppy’s is located at 1269 Wood Lane in Langhorne, PA. It’s a true Italian pizza joint with informal table service and, of course, take-out. Poppy just opened up shop last week, and while it may be a little off the beaten path, if you live in the Lower Bucks area and like a good pizza, I highly recommend it.

Ah, there’s nothing that fares more local than a sign with the word “Hoagie” on it! Viva le saveur locale!!

Cheers!

Around here, that’s about as local as the food gets…

Go here all the time since they opened. I then proceeded to get my coworkers and entire family hooked. The sicilian tomato pie is killer! And if you like thin crust, it doesn’t get much thinner (I dunno how they do it)…plus, they are the nicest folks around! Love this place!

We live practically across the street from Poppy’s, and since we moved here a couple years ago, it’s been our only pizza place. No reason to change – Poppy’s is as good as we’ve ever had (and I used to live in New York City).

My family moved to Bucks County a few years ago from NE Philly and had a hard time finding a cheesesteak and pizza that had true philly taste, that is ubtil Poppy’s came along. The pizza is fantastic, especially the sicilian tomato pie, but the chessesteaks are AMAZING. The rolls are perfect and the quality of the steak is melt in your mouth deliscious. They do not skimp on the portions either. My husband and I will share a cheesesteak and fries and leave totally full. Poppy’s is simply THE BEST.
