Middle of the night gas station sightings

At first I thought it was one of those VW Beetles with fake skin. When I got closer, I realized it wasn’t, but I don’t know what make of car it actually is.

That is a Citroen 2CV from France, which I suspect was a grey market import (I don’t think they were ever sold here).

Yep, the two horses from Citoen. Lots of them torn up in France. Drive around the Paris suburbs and come up on an accident…it’s always a 2CV. Wow, cool to see one at the gas station.

I should have thought of Citroen when I saw this (but alas, it was very late and I was tired). I’ve seen enough of them in movies set in Europe.

… and as the Cartalk guys always say, “The French copy no one; and no one copies the French.”
