I think all free blog hosts were blocked in China (at least they were a couple years ago) – making it much harder for people to set up semi-anonymous ways to criticize the Chinese government.
As for why I might have been blocked, I did once link to a Chinese cyberdissident. Then there was this haiku from last September. But it could also be a case of mistaken identity.

Marisa – while I can think of a couple of times you mentioned specific topics folks could want to ban, even your approach to them was fairly peaceable. The way you approach life/view life is just so positive I cannot fathom anyone in their right mind finding that banning it would be worth the cost of losing that world view.
The Chinese hate haiku, everyone knows that.
