Howard, I saw your comment here about Eschacon & the hurricane, which I attended. (My wife is NYMary, who organized it.) Katrina was probably the central focus of conversation; lots of talk both in the panels & informally about how to help, the political ramifications, etc. During the Sat. night dinner, we raffled off some boxes of chocolates that had been sent to the organizers by a reader from Kansas City who couldn’t make it, and we raised about $400 on the spot for hurricane relief efforts. Just thought you might be interested in hearing this!
