Pay raise repeal signed into law

The PA legislature, along with Governor Rendell, finally gets it right—well, sort of.

The pay raise is history, but unfortunately, I get the sense that some of our legislators don’t understand it was wrong—I fear the reversal had much more to do with political aspirations than with any actual sense of right and wrong. Even the Governor’s statement could be read as having an eye toward appeasement, almost describing the repeal as though it were a necessary evil, something that had to be done so Harrisburg could return to business as usual.

But at least business as usual won’t involve a pay hike that most Pennsylvanians could only dream about.

Knocking a judge out of his Ivory Throne tends to put the fear of the voting public into the hearts of our ‘representatives’. Our leaders are pavlovian, not moral creatures.

Yeah, that and the unvouchered expenses weren’t given back. Forgot to mention that in the post. They just don’t get it.
