Friday Random Ten XXVI (call it impulsive, call it compulsive, call it insane)

I tentatively proclaim this my personal best random ten. (Andrea, Ben, Josh, Kim, Luna, Mac, Marisa, Mark)

1. Brian Wilson – Barenaked Ladies (Gordon)
2. Melissa – Allman Brothers Band (A Decade of Hits 1969-1979)
3. Speed Trials – Elliott Smith (either/or)
4. Release – Pearl Jam (Ten)
5. Coyote – Better than Ezra (Deluxe)
6. Troubled Man – 77’s (Live at the LPPOA)
7. Jesus or a Gun – Fuel (Sunburn)
8. Muzzle – Smashing Pumpkins (Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness)
9. Recovering the Satellites (Live) – Counting Crows (Across a Wire: Live in New York)
10. Until I Fall Away – Gin Blossoms (New Miserable Experience)

Disclosures:

  • Favorite tune: I’ve always liked 10, but 2 and I also go way back… (speaking of which, Melissa just celebrated a birthday)
  • Another great reason to visit Paste’s free MP3 page: 3
  • The two artists I’ve seen in person: 4 & 6
  • Songs from DRM-infested CD’s: None

Friday Random Ten

Howard, I love that song and the link isn’t half bad either. Did that really show up in your random 10? What a cool coincidence. Thanks for the good wishes.

Friday Random Ten – 11.18.05

Time for Friday Random Ten, where you hit shuffle on your favorite digital music player (for me my Windows MediaPlayer at work) and report on the first ten songs that it spits out. Even before yesterday’s morbid post, it may

Yes Melissa,

The list is random, and I actually spun it before I was reminded about your birthday. It’s a good song, and I was actually a little mystified that the Allman Brothers hadn’t shown up sooner, as I installed that CD on my hard drive over a month ago, and I couldn’t get any of the songs on it to come up on any random playing (Friday random ten or not).
