Dreading the meme of 4’s.

Melissa has tagged me to partake in the meme of 4’s. Being enough of a slave to peer pressure, I am taking part, but having still a sliver of individualism left within me, I will do a slightly different meme than was handed to me by the square pegged mistress (-no offense intended). Here goes:

Four jobs I’ve held in my life: attendant at a pick-your-own strawberry field; fast food worker; circulation manager for a newspaper; haz-mat auditor for a shipping company.

Four movies I could watch over and over: The Princess Bride; Better off Dead; LA Story; Evil Dead 2.

Four places I’ve spent at least two nights in a row (sorry, I haven’t lived in four different places yet): Langhorne, PA; Blacksburg, VA; Norristown, PA; Morristown, NJ.

Four TV shows I love to watch: The Simpsons; 24; The A-Team (strange, but I can always watch this show—maybe it’s the nostalgia); Modern Marvels (History Channel).

Four places I’ve been on vacation: Doe River Gorge, TN; Bushnell, IL; Lake Placid, NY; Wildwood, NJ.

Four websites I visit daily: Philly Future; Omni’s Blog; Reuters; Ales Rarus (where my brother-in-law writes the occasional guest essay)… really, I could have gone with any four sites on my sidebar, so narrowing it down was quite a stifling experience.

Four of my favorite foods: my mom’s macaroni and cheese, my sister’s shrimp jumbalaya; a certain unnamed someone’s chili; peanut butter ripple ice cream (preferably from Goodnoe’s).

Four places you’d rather be: a family farm; any European city with an historic cathedral I studied in Intro to Architecture; in a tent in the middle of nowhere; anywhere with people whose company I enjoy.

I’m not much for tagging, and so many people seem to have been tagged prior to my participation here that hopefully the meme will be able to survive without my foisting it on some other unsuspecting blogger—so I’ll just let the tagging die with me, and if anyone reading this feels the urge to give in to the meme of 4’s, by all means, feel free.

I’m so glad you participated. Does your mom make the wonderful baked mac and cheese? That’s just the best stuff ever. The yellow crap that comes in a box doesn’t even come close. Hey! Have a Happy New Year!
