The Chicken-Egg War

Gotta’ love Stephen Colbert. And I just finally figured out what his act reminds me of: that old Kevin Nealon “Mr. Subliminal” bit from late 80’s/early 90’s SNL—well except for two things: Colbert’s “subliminal” messages are delivered visually on the screen to his left as he speaks, and he’s better with the delivery.

If you don’t have the cable and/or you don’t get around to actually watching TV, Comedy Central’s website has stream-able clips from the show, including the recent interview in which Stephen bested Bob Schieffer with his journalistic brilliance. And then there’s “The Long War” which also seems to carry a bit of truthiness.

And besides, if the it’s right there in the name, how can you criticize it for not being short? Like most of his stuff, it was brilliant.

Even better than Comedy Central’s site is One Good Move. It’s where I go now for pretty much all liberal TV.

Thanks for that link. I missed the first few minutes of the most recent Report, and then I caught the Monopoly clip Ellen referred to (a href=”http://onegoodmove.org/1gm/1gmarchive/2006/03/monopoly.html”>link). Good stuff, as always.
