One-Eyed Stanley

I got a request last week for some blog love. It came from a band visiting Philly tonight. And who am I to deny a little boost to indie music, especially when they’re nice enough to ask and the tracks available on their myspace site are actually pretty good?

Anyway, if the picture isn’t legible enough for you, One Eyed Stanley will be playing the Fire at 412 W. Girard Avenue in Philadelphia tonight at 8:30 p.m. Twenty-one and over only; seven dollars at the door. I can’t make it, but if you can, feel free to tell me what I missed.

It took me a couple tries to just hear their track – the myspace player kept playing several songs at once and quite cacophonously.

Their stuff was pretty good (some of the concurrent tunes – blech). But not enough for me to hike it to 4th & Girard alone at night. Besides, I went out Fri PM AND Tues PM, so tonight would be going out 3x in one week – I think they’d take away my Geek membership for that (or worse, my library card)

So, I’m sending them psychic good vibes for a cool (and large) crowd…
