Since you didn’t provide your favorite this time (you do sometimes, don’t you?), I’ll provide mine. #7. Actually it reminds me of someone from my past. The earlier of two major heartbreaks in my life. A sad occurrence, but the song reminds me of the intense feelings I had for the guy in question and on a certain level that brings me happy thoughts. No point in being sad, I guess, you live, you love, you learn, and after 18 years pass, the hurt just isn’t there anymore.

Anything off of The Joshua Tree is an immediate candidate for favorite on almost any list for me, but, as you noticed, I didn’t play favorites this time out.

Truth is, I don’t think I could pick a favorite out of this list. Let’s see… it’d be between 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9 and 10. Yeah, so the favorite thing would have been a little muddled this week.

Appreciate your pick, though. For me, 9 was that kind of song, but oddly, it’s more bitter than sweet in the relationship context – mostly because the girl in question hated Dave Matthews, but within a few months of breaking up with her, I recall a conversation where she was telling me how great she thought his music was.

Go figure.
